About the Opportunity
Persist Ventures is seeking a UI/UX Developer (Product Designer) to shape the visual and interaction language of MEND, an innovative platform designed to create emotionally supportive and safe digital experiences. This is an exciting chance to work on a product from the ground up, influencing every stage — from concept to polished interface.
As part of the founding product team, you’ll collaborate directly with founders and engineers to create a conversational AI interface that’s intuitive, empathetic, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process for the MEND app, including user flows, wireframes, UI, and visual systems.
- Create a conversational AI chat interface with a human-like, emotionally resonant design.
- Design landing pages and onboarding flows to communicate the product’s purpose clearly.
- Develop features such as:
- Real-time voice-to-AI conversation
- In-person conversation listening mode
- Chat history and insights dashboard
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship quickly and iterate rapidly.
- Advocate for user-centric design and emotional clarity in every feature.
Requirements
- Experience designing consumer mobile applications.
- Strong aesthetic sense with a preference for minimalist and modern interfaces.
- Ability to design for emotion as well as function.
- Comfortable working with early-stage startups and navigating ambiguity.
